Zachary Michael Sutton, age 22 of Lawrence, Kansas formerly of Big Rapids, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022. He was born August 03, 1999. Zach was born and raised in Big Rapids. He graduated from Big Rapids High School in 2017. Zach moved to Kansas finding work in sporting goods, but soon his passion and interest in automobiles lead him to work towards his mechanical certification. His natural talent secured him a position at Firestone Complete Service in Lawrence, Kansas. Zach had a profound passion for hunting and fishing that he loved to share with his friends and family. Zach loved many, but was loved by many more, including his parents, Dana and Shawn DePree of Big Rapids, Jonathan and Nicole Sutton of Jenison, Rachel and Joe Thomas of Big Rapids; 8 siblings, Austin and Mallory Donley of Big Rapids, Walker Sutton of Grand Rapids, Seth Sutton of Big Rapids, Jesse DePree of Big Rapids, Ethan Dahl, Addison Dahl, Brooks Dahl and Lyla Dahl all of Jenison. Also surviving are grandparents, Mike Smart of Big Rapids, Laura and Herman Kruger of Morley, Ray and Marcia DePree of Grand Rapids, Karen and Cliff Yokom of Big Rapids, Steve and Darlene Waring of Big Rapids, Darcy and James Garlock of Rockford, Bill and Amy Schram of Hesperia; great-grandmother, Donna McMillin of Reed City; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and a niece, Makya Littlebear-Donley. Zach was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles McMillin and Jans Lutke and a cousin Avah Roak. Funeral services will take place 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends on Thursday, May 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Friday.
