Yolanda E. Lyons, age 75 of Barryton, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was born November 15, 1946 in Alma the daughter of Chester and Harriette (Russ) Dillon. Yolanda was raised in Mason, graduating from High School in 1964. She later attended Kent State University in Ohio. Yolanda and her husband Laverne "Bub" Lyons made their home in Barryton for many years. During that time she worked as a legal assistant in Big Rapids. She was a long-time member of VFW Post 2335 Auxiliary in Mecosta. Yolanda will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and best friend. She loved dogs, especially Basset Hounds and was an advocate for all animals. She is survived by her three children; Lena Jaroudi of Grand Rapids, Dale (Tara) Torbet of Flushing, Zack (Samantha) Torbet of Lakeview, three grandchildren; Dillon, Kaycie and Tyler and her beloved Bassetts; Dexter and Ellie. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband of 35 years, Laverne "Bub" Lyons on October 30, 2020 The family will greet friends on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be no funeral service.
