Willis Wierenga (Bill), 77 of Big Rapids formerly from Holland passed away Friday, November 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Judy, daughters Karen Wierenga of Traverse City, Cindy Hovinga (Tom Hendricksen) of Big Rapids, grandchildren Amanda (Chris) Glover, Bradley (Samantha) Swarthout, two great grandchildren Brenden Swarthout and Scarlett Glover. Bill is also survived by his sisters Nancy (Walter) Jousma, Arlene Dalphin, Judy Gardner and his sister in law Carole VanHoven. He was preceeded in death by his daughter Kristine, his parents John and Jeanette Wierenga and his brother Harold. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contribution can be made to Heartland Hospice of Fremont, 1053 W. Main St., Fremont, MI, 49412. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice, Metron of Big Rapids and Chris Anderson for their love, care and support during Bill's battle with dementia. Cremation has taken place and arrangements and care have been entrusted to the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
