William E. "Billy" VanSyckle, age 78 lifelong resident of Barryton, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at his home. He was born on September 11, 1934 in Barryton the son of Joseph and Edith (Adams) VanSyckle. Billy graduated from Barryton High School in 1954. Billy was employed at Navarre Ford in Barryton for nearly 20 years. He resided at the White Pine Manor Apartments in Barryton for numerous years and always tried to be helpful to others. He is survived by one brother, Raymond VanSyckle of Paris; four sisters, Carlene (Richard) Cupit of Flint/Florida, Lela Spicer of Traverse City, Judy Ollson of Stanwood and Zoa Spaulding of Greenville and many nieces, nephews and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. Services for Billy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Memorial donations in Billy's name can be made to the American Heart Association.
