William R. Squires, age 70, of Barryton went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 16, 2015 with his beloved family at his side. He was born on August 17, 1944 in Barryton to Lewis and Josephine (Dow) Squires. As a teen his family moved to Clio and he graduated from Clio High School in 1962. Bill made his home in Otisville for many years before coming home to his roots. He was an accomplished singer and guitar player, who enjoyed sharing his talents throughout the state. Bill was an avid coon, rabbit and deer hunter. He had a general fondness for wild life and the outdoors. Bill will be remembered by the family he leaves behind as being a good Christian man, having a kind heart and always having a smile on his face. He is survived by his wife Zona; children, Priscella (John) Turner, William (Christina) Squires Jr., Troy Eisenbach, Traci (Chris) Martens and Tonya Bobson; 3 brothers, Robert (Mary) Squires, Arthur Squires and Wayne (Helen) Squires; fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many loved nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Josephine Squires, a sister Betty Spencer, grandson Cody Eisenbach and wife Theda Squires. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August, 20, 2015 at the Sears Church of God with Pastor Richard Latham officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. service at the Church (5955 40th Avenue, Sears). Interment will be at East Fork Cemetery in Barryton. Memorial donations in Bill's name can be made to the Sears Church of God where he was a member.
