Obituary

William "Bill" Alan Rodeheffer, 71, of Brownstown, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2025, in Big Rapids, Michigan. He was born on May 21, 1954, to his parents, Donald and Evalyn Rodeheffer.

Bill married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Williams, on September 12, 1975. He was born and raised in Allen Park and in 1975, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served in Aurora, Colorado until his honorable discharge in 1979.

Bill started his career as a coffee salesman before retiring from TSA at Detroit Metro Airport. He was one of the hardest working people and even ran his own power washing business with his wife. He lived for family, traveling, and taking care of others. He enjoyed going to Canadian Lakes, Michigan, Gulf Shores, Alabama and in more recent years to Goodyear, Arizona to see his daughters, son-in-law, and grandson. He was so proud to have become a grandpa for the first time this past year.

He often put his handyman skills to use in his workshop, even tackling big projects such as building a home addition and other major household renovations. In retirement, he enjoyed swimming, playing games with family, assembling puzzles and legos and building things for others.

Bill could have an intimidating stature, but he was really a big sensitive teddy bear especially with respect to his family. He will be deeply missed from now on.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Rodeheffer; children: Nora (Scott) Adams, Abbey Rodeheffer, and Alison (Randy) Cullen; grandson: William, whom he lovingly adored; sister: Christine (Barry) Takei; and sister-in-law: Rose Calus; Nephew: Todd (Michelle) Takei; Niece: Terri (Hance) Matyiko and their son Ethan.

Bill is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Evalyn Rodeheffer, and his brother, Gregory Rodeheffer.
