William "Will" Fredrick Iltis passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 10, 2016, in Muskegon County. Will was on his Harley, enjoying the day with his Brother-in-law, Lonnie LaMadline. Lonnie was by Wills side as he left this earthly life and joined our Heavenly Father. We are forever grateful that Will was able to be doing something that he truly loved at the time God called him Home.
Will was born in Lakeview, Michigan to Fred and Joyce (Cramer) Iltis on January 6th, 1974. He was a lifetime resident of Big Rapids and was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. He attended St. Peters Lutheran School and graduated from Big Rapids High School. He earned an Accounting degree from Baker College, and was a lifelong learner. He worked closely with his father at the Big Rapids Tax & Bookkeeping Service for many years. Together they served many clients and built meaningful friendships, especially with each other. Will enjoyed serving, conversing, especially on the phone, with anyone that needed help or information.
On December 11, 1993, Will married Wendy Louise Fulton of Brohman, Michigan. Together they have two wonderful sons, Kaleb William and Kameron Jon. While Will had a passion for boating, dirt biking, riding his Harley, fishing, hunting and traveling, his biggest passion was spending time with his wife and children. He was relentless in his efforts to be a good provider for them, and he was. He always put God, family and work at the top of his priorities. He has been a loving husband and a perfect father. Undeniably, he is the best FAMILY MAN a wife and child could ask for.
Will was a confidant and entrepreneur with many gifts and talents. He didnt always recognize what others saw in him. He valued time with a few close "partners in crime", friends Craig (Brandy) Wertz and Jerry (Judy) Bennett and sister-in-law Robin LaMadline. Will spent countless hours trying to figure out this crazy life that we live. Will was referenced as the "Fierce Leader" and he was that in every aspect, especially when it came to work related ideas and fun.
Will is survived by his wife, sons, parents, and siblings Teri (Iltis) Wilber, John (Brooke) Iltis, Jill (Scott) Shea, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend Terry Fuller. Will and Wendy were blessed with two very special God daughters, Megan and Devan Iltis. Each person, especially Wills parents, brother, sisters, nieces and nephews had many unforgettable times with him. Will was a tireless people pleaser and he wore his heart on his sleeve. He was unique, stubborn, and often had a hard time communicating his feelings. He saw most of life in black and white. Will was best understood by the children in his family. They saw his fun-adventurous side, his faith in Christ, strong work ethic, and knew his genuine care and constant deep concern for his family. His niece Brandi Sweet was his biggest fan and it made her Aunt Wendy proud that she let his worth be known.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Ardena Cramer and father-in-law William Fulton, both who he held in high regard and close to his heart. He truly cherished the time they had together and would often talk about his memories with them both.
