William H. Horner, age 79 of Lake Mecosta, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Grand Rapids. He was born June 19, 1930 in Hazel Park, the son of Hartley and Millie (Sewell) Horner. Bill retired from MAC Valves Inc. of Wixom 15 years ago, He divided his time between Canadian Lakes and Port Charlotte, Florida during retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Horner; children, Mark (Josie) Horner, Kim (Phillip) Anderson, Tracey (William) Matkin, Gina Horner-Flanigan, Tina (George) Lundin, Nancy (Barry) Lowe, Dawn (Dave) Villaire, Natalie Thompson; several grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother James (Virginia) Horner and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dennis and Ira Horner. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Sunday, October 11th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
