William Charles Emigh, age 79 of Stanwood, Michigan, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born April 30, 1938 in Spangler, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles and Linta Emigh. "Bill" as his family and friends knew him, graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from GMI, and later received his MBA from Central Michigan University.
Bill retired from Ford Motor Company after having built a career that spanned more than thirty-five years. He started as an engineer and eventually went into management where he successfully launched the Mustang, Explorer, and Taurus.
Bill attended Sylvester Community Church, and helped the local community working in the IRS AARP volunteer tax service. Bill enjoyed sports, both pro and college. A long time football fan, he rediscovered his love of hockey and often went to games at Ferris State.
Bill was a loving husband, and will be greatly missed by his wife of thirty years, Josie Wood-Emigh. Bill is survived by four children, Brad Emigh, Nancy Emigh, A.J. Wood and Lesli Wood; eight grandchildren; two siblings, Morris Emigh and Gary Emigh; one aunt, Betty Fadale; and niece and nephews.
