William L. "Bill" Buck, age 70 of Hersey, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Metron of Big Rapids. He was born November 30, 1944 in Arbyrd, MO, the son of Orville and Wilma (Brown) Buck. Bill was employed by the Sparta Foundry for many years, retiring in 1989. He married Marjorie Anderson in 1986. Bill and Marjorie moved to the Hersey area in 1991 to make their home. He worked for Patterson Flowers for 14 years. Bill enjoyed camping, traveling to the U.P., and watching stock-car and truck races. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marjorie Buck of Hersey; four children, William (Danna Dingman) Buck of Grant, Steven Buck of Grand Rapids, Joshua (Julia) Buck of Sheridan and Victoria (Reid) Sherwood of Newaygo; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Teresa Best of Big Rapids. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
