Obituary

Willard F. Chapoton, age 87, of Canadian Lakes passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 5, 2006 in Big Rapids. He was born October 21, 1919 in Utica, Michigan. He was honorable discharged from the United States Coast Guard serving during World War II. Willard was a member of the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood. He was a real estate agent for several years in the Birmingham area while residing in Franklin, Mi He moved to Canadian Lakes in the late 1970's. Willard was married to Susan Gage and she preceded him in death. In 1990 he married Geraldine F. (Domer) Koseck. Willard was very artistic and enjoyed many hobbies. Willard is survived by: his loving wife of 16 years, Geraldine One daughter "" Leigh Ann (James) Brakora of Brighton, MI One brother "" Francis (Irene) Chapoton of Naples, FL Two grandchildren "" Michael and Lisa Brakora Several Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard; and four brothers. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9th at the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood with Rev. Dominic Tommy officiating. Final inurnment will be at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, MI. Memorial contributions may be given to the Northland United Methodist Church or the Canadian Lakes Memorial Fund. Arrangements were entrusted to the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
