Wenona "Nonnie" Sarns, age 83 of Morley, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 17, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 1, 1940 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Emmett and Iola (Stellow) Wells. Nonnie held many jobs throughout her life. She managed the Big Rapids Theater for 20 years, worked as a dental hygienist, and an accountant at Winter Creek Golf Course. Nonnie also helped work on the Sarns Farm and running Sarns Resort with her husband Wayne. She worshipped her zero-turn lawn mower and always had fun mowing the grass. Nonnie enjoyed painting her cement figurines, flea markets, and trips to the casino. She loved to spend the Michigan winters in Florida. Nonnie treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and family. She is survived by her children, Darin Sarns, Ronald (Kerri) Sarns, Sherry Sarns; six grandchildren, Kambur Sarns, Shana (Dennis Kuikstra) Sarns, Alexander Sarns, Keri (David) Ruhling, Jayson (April) Krum, William "Billy" (Brianne) Krum; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Lylla, David, Jaedyn, Myli, Emmalie, Waylon, Elijah, Wayne, Koda; siblings, Gary Wells, Nellie (Ken) Eising; her cherished campground family; several nieces and nephews. Nonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; and brother, Larry Wells. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
