Wanda L. Vandelinder, age 81 of Big Rapids, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Mecosta County Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1930 in Detroit, the daughter of Christopher and Flossie (Loomis) Bibbee. Wanda married Joe Vandelinder on June 12, 1948 in Detroit and they raised their daughter in the Warren and Livonia areas. Following Joe's retirement they moved to Big Rapids. Wanda enjoyed golfing, gardening and her special relationship with her grandson, Ryan. She loved her family and taking care of them and her dog, Sweetie. She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Vern) Racine of Evart; a grandson, Ryan Racine; a grand-daughter-in-law, Erin Racine; 3 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kadence and Megan Racine all of Montana; 2 brothers, Robert Bibbee (Joe Levato) of Chicago and Norman Bibbee of Stanwood; a sister, Betty Stenger of Brighton; a sister-in-law, Lucy Bibbee of FL; many nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Joe" Vandelinder, her parents and a brother, Jack Bibbee. Memorial contributions in Wanda's name may be made to the Riley Mackenzie Animal Fund, P.O. Box 27 Paris, MI 49338-0027. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
