Violet Armstrong, age 89, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1935, to George and Mary (Allen) White.

Violet lived a fulfilling life, passing away comfortably surrounded by the love of her family. She shared a remarkable 50+ years with her husband James, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest source of happiness. Violet was a pillar of kindness, compassion, generosity, and love, inspiring countless people with her extraordinary spirit. Her many hobbies, including camping, bowling, card club, and ceramics, brought her immense joy. Violet's memory will be cherished forever, a testament to her enduring impact on those who knew her. She cherished traveling with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories through shared adventures. An avid camper, Violet found joy and inspiration in the simplicity of nature. Her creativity touched every aspect of her life.

Violet is lovingly remembered by her three children: Debra Adams, Gina Thomas, and James Armstrong; her cherished grandchildren: Damian, Melissa, Jeffery, Michelle, James, and Leah; as well as numerous great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Armstrong; five siblings; and her grandson, Kyle Mills.
