Victoria "Vicky" Post, age 79, formerly of Stanwood, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at Sherman Glen Assisted Living in National City. She was born May 20, 1944, in Evart, the daughter of Milford and Edith (Hodges) Gray. Vicky graduated from Evart High School in 1962. She married Robert Post on February 9, 1963, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Remus. The couple made their home in Roger Heights before they moved to their farm in Stanwood, where Vicky lived for 41 years. Before moving to Sherman Glen, Vicky enjoyed three years in her cottage in Paris on the Muskegon River. Vicky owned a cleaning business for five years and worked as a custodian at Ferris State University for 15 years. Vicky was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church for over 50 years. She was a proud member of the Lions Club, Gold Wing Bikers Club, and Stephen Ministries for many years. She enjoyed having dinner with her friends from her social groups. Vicky loved to cross-stitch numerous patterns and give them to family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, raising animals on the farm, snowmobiling and camping around Michigan with Rob. She had a passion for cooking and loved being in the kitchen. Vicky will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her children, Larry (Michelle) Post of Monument, CO, Theresa (James Middleton) Post of Glennie, Michael (Melody) Post of Glennie; grandchildren, Heather (Vincent Pizzimenti) Beach, Ashley (Kairis Pino) Beach, Arek Hawkins, Tyler Post, Jacob Post; great-grandchild, Finley Pino; sisters-in-law, Linda Gray, Evelyn Gray, Donna Gray; many nieces and nephews. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Post, and 11 siblings. On Monday, March 11, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, a viewing will be at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will be there to greet family and friends. The Christian Burial mass will occur on Tuesday, March 12, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids. The family will greet family and friends at 10:00 a.m. Father Jegar Fickel will be officiating the mass. Final Resting Place, Mount Carmel Cemetery.
