Valerie Ann Bennett, age 65, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday October 1st. She was born in Santa Monica, California on January 27, 1957, the daughter of the late Donald and Johannah (Anderson) Luce. She was raised in Manhattan Beach, California where she graduated from Aviation High in 1975. Valerie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Doug; two children, Jesse Wayne (Diana) Bennett of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Lindsey Ann (Jason) Chapa of Williamsburg, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Skyla, Laken, Snowe, and Sterling Bennett. Kohl, Kylar, Kody, and Kenzie Chapa and her mother-in-law, Shirley Morse of Morley. Valerie dedicated her life to making those important to her feel loved and safe. She was considered the heart of the home by her husband and children, and later to her beloved dogs Bam-Bam (passed)Putz and Maggie. Following Valeries wishes there will be no formal funeral arrangements. A celebration of Valeries life will be held at the Stanwood Eagles club on Friday October 7th, at 3:00pm.
