Valdonna M. Hylton, age 72 of Sears passed away peacefully while in the company of her family at her sons home in Evart on Saturday, November 28, 2009. She was born November 7, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to William and Fern (Taber) Slocum. On April 15, 1957 she married Stanley Hylton and they made their home and raised their family in Flint. When Stanley retired in 1984 they moved to their current home in Sears. Valdonna had a delightful personality and spent several hours shopping and playing Bingo. Whether it was around the table or out and about she enjoyed a good meal and playing cards with the family. She loved her family deeply. Valdonna is survived by her adoring family; Ronny (Karen) Hylton of Hersey, Michael Lee (Kathleen) Hylton Sr. "Grizz" of Evart, Randy (Linda) Hylton of Alabama, Janice (Kenneth) Young of Evart, Helen Hylton (Centers) of Flint, Littisha "Tish" (Clifford "Sonny" ) Hill of Sears, Teresa Hylton of LeRoy, brother; Bill (Helen) Slocum of Skidway Lake, sister; Stella Lasley of Flint, twenty one grandchildren, twenty five great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and close friends. Besides her parents Valdonna was preceded in death by her beloved husband Stanley in 2004, stepson Foster Hylton, brother Clayton Taber and great granddaughter Danika Hill. Funeral services for Valdonna will take place at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with the family greeting friends two hours prior from Noon until 2:00 p.m.. Interment will be at East Fork Cemetery in Barryton. The family will also greet friends from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Valdonna's name can be left at the funeral home for the family.
