Trinidad "Triney" Inosencio, age 81, of Stanwood passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at his home with his family at his side. He was born June 15, 1925 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Anthonio & Catarina (Hernandez) Inosencio. Trinidad was honorably discharged from the United States Army serving during World War II. He was wounded in Barcelona, Italy and later received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. In 1988 he retired from Kalamazoo Valley Community College where he worked in maintenance. Upon retirement he moved to Stanwood where he enjoyed doing numerous Pig Roasts in the area and socializing. He was a member of the Morley American Legion Post 554, Big Rapids AM Vets Post 1941, and Eagles Aerie 4360 in Stanwood. He attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Big Rapids. Trinidad will be dearly missed by his special mate, Cora of Stanwood, one son - Trinidad (Amanda) Inosencio II and their daughter Kristina of Stanwood, his brother"" Joe Inso of Grand Haven and sister-in-law "" Mary Inosencio of Muskegon, several nieces and nephews and many family members in Mt. Pleasant and Riverdale. Trinidad was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Steve, Jessie, Tony, and Lupe. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Father Lam T. Le officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
