IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy
Jehnzen
June 15, 1950 – June 24, 2025
Tim is survived by his wife Agnes (Lehnert) of 50 years, 2 sons, Kevin Jehnzen (Tamara Russell) of Mecosta, Andrew Jehnzen of Rodney, 1 daughter, Elizabeth Jehnzen of Rodney, granddaughter Charlotte Jehnzen, Sister Nancy (Ted Thelen) of Lansing, many brothers-in-law and Sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and a few great nieces and nephews.
Not long after high school graduation, Tim joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Through that union Tim worked constructing high voltage transmission lines, as a ground man and 'digger'/truck driver, in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and West Virginia. Hoping to be at home more, Tim began working at the new pole treating plant, HydroLake, in McBain.
At HyrdroLake Tim worked as a merchandiser, yard foreman, and last as a semi-truck driver for 27 years. He delivered 70' to 125' poles to yards and stake drop sites for Consumers, Top-O-Michigan, Tri-County and other companies, in Upper and Lower Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. No stake drop was too 'tricky' for him. Tim was often called to deliver poles for emergency repairs on holidays, because it was known that he would be sober.
When you see a tall wood pole stamped "Hypole" Tim likely made it or delivered it. During his retirement time enjoyed making bowl and tops with his lathe.
