Thomas D. Poole, age 75 of Canadian Lakes, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 4, 2006. He was born June 3, 1931 in Detroit, the son of Harold and Elizabeth (Rieber) Poole. Tom retired from the Common Pleas and 36th District Court in Detroit. Following his retirement Tom moved to Canadian Lakes and was a board member for both C.L.P.O.C. and the C.L.A. Association. He was a member of the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood, where he served as Treasurer. He is survived by: His wife Margery (Peg) Poole of Canadian Lakes Four sons: Thomas H. (Kathy) Poole of Livonia Alan (Cyndy) Poole of Trenton John Poole of Detroit Kenneth (Lonna) Poole of Brownstown Three step-children: Cathy (Steve) Mazur of Hartland David (Karen) Tyler of Erie, MI Reverend Timothy (Lisa) Tyler of St. Clair Shores Thirteen grandchildren and Six Great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends on Saturday, July 8th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial services will take place 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9th at the Northland United Methodist Church in Stanwood, with Pastor Dominic Tommy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Northland United Methodist Church or the C.L.P.O.C. Memorial Fund.
