Theresa Eileen Sims, age 52, of Reed City passed away on December 28, 2013 at her home. She was born on March 31, 1961 in Wheeler, MI the daughter of the late Theodore and Donna (Morford) Schultz. Theresa married Clinton Sims on June 17, 1978 in Reed City where they made their home and raised their family. She has been an occupancy specialist for the Big Rapids Housing Commission for the last 13 years. Theresa's favorite pastime was going to drag races with Clint. Theresa is survived by her adoring husband of 35 years Clinton; loving children, Rebecca (Scott) Griffith of Kalkaska and Adam (Amber) Sims of McBain; three grandchildren who she cherished spending time with, Hunter and Carly Griffith and Ezra Sims; three brothers and sisters, Sue Sims of Big Rapids, John (Pat) Schultz of Wheeler and Laura (Daniel) Fishel of Morley and several extended family members, co-workers and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends on Monday (today) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and two hours prior to services on Tuesday from Noon until 2:00 p.m.
