Thelma Leola Meltsner, age 80 of Canadian Lakes, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Spectrum Health United Memorial, Kelsey Campus in Lakeview, Mi. She was born February 26, 1928 in Sopchoppy, Florida to Edgar and Frances (McKenzie) Roberts. Thelma is survived by her loving husband Bernie Meltsner of Canadian Lakes, sons Paul Ball, Ron Meltsner, and Richard Alan, brother Marlen Roberts, sisters Betty Folsom and LaJuana Michaels, sister-in-law Betty Roberts, son-in-law Rick Lutz, daughters-in-law Dorie Meltsner, Karen Ball and Christine Alan, grandchildren Scott Barfield, Michael and Matthew Lutz, Kristin, Angela and Joey Meltsner, and Emily Ball. Besides her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Lutz and brothers, Milton and Wendell Roberts. Cremation has taken place and the family will greet friends at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
