Thelma Ruth Dalrymple, age 46, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at her home with loved ones at her side. She was born June 22, 1962 in Marlette to Elmer and Ruthie (Gross) Sholes. Thelma graduated from Farwell High School and married Douglas A. Dalrymple Sr. of Lake George on April 11, 1981. Together they built their dream home in Weidman in 2003. For the last nineteen years Thelma has worked at the Medical Care Facility in Mt. Pleasant until her health declined. She was a true kid at heart enjoying Hanna Barbera Cartoons, especially The Flinestones. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, camping and yard sales. Thelma is survived by her loving husband Doug of Weidman Three Children: Doug Jr. (Kari) of Barryton Christopher W. Dalrymple of Weidman, and Loretta O. Dalrymple of Weidman, mother; Ruthie (Floyd) Myers of Fostoria, brother; Andrew (Ginger) Sholes of Bristol, Tennessee, grandchildren; Cody, Destiny, Lilly and Hunter, sisters; Janet Dalrymple of Fostoria, Tammy (Tom) Coles of Brekinridge, Mother-in-law; Nancy Dalrymple of Barryton, brothers-in-law; Roy Dalrymple of Barryton and Tom Borton of Lake George, sister-in-law; Shirley (Pete) Chubb of Blanchard and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Elmer Sholes, father-in-law Jerry Dalrymple, sister-in-law Sandra Borton, brother-in-law Clarence Dalrymple and nephew Andrew Sholes. Funeral services for Thelma will take place 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Daggett Funeral in Barryton with visitation two hours prior from 11am to 1p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Broomfield Twp. Cemetery in Remus. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday. Memorial donations in Thelma's name maybe given to the family.
