Teri Lou Maurer, age 65 of Newaygo, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 7, 1955, in Big Rapids, the daughter of the late Dale and Betty Lou (Walters) Verrill. Teri was a 1973 graduate from Morley-Stanwood High School. She married Franchard Maurer on February 19, 1974 in Morley. She was employed with the Greater YMCA of Grand Rapids for 25 years.
Teri is survived by her husband of 46 years, Franchard Maurer; three daughters, Michelle (Kelly) Baker of Michigan, Jennifer Maurer of Michigan, and Megan Reinalda of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Brooke Snyder of Michigan and Kellen (Helen) Baker of Florida stationed with the United States Navy, Thomas, David, and Bethany Clark all of Michigan, Braden, Marcus, and Emily Reinalda all of North Carolina; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews that all loved her.
Due to the Nationwide Pandemic, no public services are planned for Teri at this time. The family is planning a memorial service for a later date. She will be laid to rest at Big Prairie-Everett Cemetery in White Cloud.
