Tanya L. Chaney, age 36 of Rodney, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 25, 2014. She was born June 5, 1977 in Lansing, the daughter of Kenneth and Linda (Jensen) Chaney. Tanya graduated from Eaton Rapids High School in 1995. She was the manager for the Next Door Store. Tanya attended the Big Rapids Assembly of God. She enjoyed playing softball, gardening, riding motorcycle and taking care of animals. Tanya loved her family and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her boyfriend, Jason Cole of Lakeview; three children, Austin Cole of Rodney, Dylan and Logan Cole both of Lakeview; mother, Linda Chaney of Carson City; two sisters, Brenda French of Rodney and Heidi (Greg) Vanderlip of Carson City; five nieces and nephews, Richard, Brandi, Jenna, Tanea and Rachell; many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Chaney in 2012. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Big Rapids Assembly of God with Pastor Kris Richardson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Tanya's name to the family to help with expenses.
