Susan McLaughlin-Dubridge, age 67 of Morley, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at home with her loved ones. She was born May 17, 1956 to Alvin "Dan" and Ada Morden. Susan graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1974. Susan is survived by her husband, Gary Dubridge, and three sons Curtis (Amanda) McLaughlin of Morley, William (Brandi) McLaughlin of Rogers Heights, and Anthony (Emily) McLaughlin of Lake City; six grandchildren, Aiden, Delaney, Liam, and Elizabeth McLaughlin and Madelaine and Branigan McLaughlin; her extended family, Bradley (Kelly), Connor, and Carly Dubridge of Saranac and Amanda (Tony), Cole, Anna, and John Bisbee of Columbia, SD; one brother, Art (Patricia Linnen) Morden of Chippewa Lake; three sisters, Linda Lytle of Ludington, Sharon (David) Miller of Sparta, and Shirley (Daniel) Hazen of Rodney; in-laws, Michael (Robin) McLaughlin of Buffalo, NY, Kathleen (Steven) Dombrowski of Grand Island, NY, Donna Kuczmanski of Clarence, NY, Joyce Digati (Russ Marra) of Aiken, SC, Bob (Jean) Dubridge of Wayland, Ron Dubridge of Morley, Brenda (Craig) Bonzheim of Byron Center, and Tammy Travis of Grandville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands Terry Lutjens and William McLaughlin. Susans biggest joy in life was her family. She was proud of her sons and often said the best thing they did was married good women. Susan especially loved watching the grandkids and their achievements, whether it was in the classroom, in sports, or just being good people. She greatly enjoyed working with children as a paraprofessional at Morley Stanwood Schools where she retired from in 2016. She had so many dear, close friends; but it was easy to understand why. If you knew her, you loved her. She was caring, compassionate, generous with her love, and strong in her faith. Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Northland Global Methodist Church (formerly Northland United Methodist Church) in Stanwood with Pastor Gary Bondarenko officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2nd at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids and one hour prior to the Funeral on Wednesday at Church. Susan will be laid to rest at Martiny Township Cemetery in Rodney.
