Susan Lynn Cornell, 41, of Morley, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was born on February 13, 1984, and was raised the daughter of Lanny and Janet (Johnson) Newman.

On August 21, 2004, Susan was united in marriage to her best friend, Michael Cornell. They met around New Year's at a party, instantly drawn to one another, and have been inseparable ever since. Together they bought their first house and poured years of hard work, love, and dedication into turning it into a home. There they raised their children, hosted family gatherings, and created a place filled with laughter, comfort, and love. Her home was her greatest pride—a welcoming place where everyone felt safe and together. Above all, Susan's greatest joy and purpose in life was her family.

Susan loved being outdoors and enjoyed hiking, biking, and visiting parks. She had a fun-loving spirit, a sense of adventure, and wasn't afraid to enjoy life. She especially adored her fur babies, Honey and Copper. She loved cooking, took great pride in caring for her lawn and flower beds, and will always be remembered for her famous cookies at family get-togethers. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and remembered always.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Cornell; her children, Kylie (Andersen), Gaven (Caelynn), and Emmitt; granddaughter, Reece Lynn; parents, Lanny and Janet Newman; and sister, Pamela (Noah) Tarrant; in-laws: Thomas and Tammy Bentley; along with numerous brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her stillborn son, Reece Michael, with whom she is now reunited, surely enjoying the sweetest playdate in Heaven.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Homes, Big Rapids. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 P.M. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Homes. She will be laid to rest at Aetna Township Cemetery, Morley. Memorial contributions may be made to the ARC of Mecosta County.
