Sue Alice Bush, age 76 of Barryton passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 17, 2009 in Mt. Pleasant. She was born August 16, 1933 in Detroit to Walter and Henrietta (Mouch) Buckman. Sue married Harry King on September 2, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. They made their home in Detroit before moving to Greenville in 1957. In 1979 they moved to Barryton and Harry passed away. On July 15, 1991 Sue married Chester Bush of Barryton and together they owned and operated a plumbing store and flower shop until Chester's death in 1994. Sue took pride in her work as a florist and was a valued part of the Barryton community. Sue was a member of the Chippewa Lake Community Church and VFW Auxiliary #2335 of Mecosta. Sue was a caring and free spirited person who didn't mind telling it like it is. She was outgoing and didn't lack for things to chit-chat about. Sue enjoyed playing UNO and got a tickle out of the grandchildren when they were younger. Sue is survived by her loving son: Harry "Butch" King Jr. of Barryton, step children: Danny (Brenda) Bush of Lansing, Donny Bush of Grand Rapids and Dolly (Ron) Forist of Lansing, brother; Ronald (Beverly) Buckman, sisters; Barbara (Bob) Breaugh, Eljean Schultz and Geraldine Wakely, 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by her brother Earl Buckman and a sister Shirley Wuolle. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with the family greeting friends two hours prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens in Belding at 1:00 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations in Sue's name may be given to the choice of the donor.
