Steven M. White, age 61 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Big Rapids passed away Saturday May 15, 2010. He was born July 7, 1948 in Lansing the son of Keith and Elaine (Teachout) White. Steven moved to Big Rapids as a child and graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Navy. Following boot camp Steven became a Marine Corpsman and was stationed in Vietnam. Steven was awarded several medals, ribbons and insignias including the Bronze Star. Following the service, Steven attended Ferris State University, earned his degree in accounting and had worked for several different accounting firms. Steven is survived by; his daughter, Stefani Long-White of Stanwood; his parents Keith and Elaine White of Big Rapids; 4 brothers, Douglas White of Big Rapids, James White of Reed City, Dale (Susan) Rivers of Fort Myers, FL, Paul (Nancy) White of Ventura, CA; grandmother, Burnice Teachout of Big Rapids; one aunt, Joyce Teachout of Saddle Bag Lake; one niece and 2 nephews. At Steven's request there will be no public services.
