Stanley D. Freelan, age 75 of Chippewa Lake, went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 3, 2022. He was born February 16, 1947 in Lansing, the son of Charles and Lavera (Riggle) Freelan. Stan had lived in the Chippewa Lake area for over 50 years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Stan will always be remembered as a kind and happy person by his friends and extended family. His survivors include his nephew, Steve Hall and his wife Melissa of Lansing and niece, Peggy Yelinek of Haslett and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. Stan was preceded in death by his beloved companion of nearly 40 years, Connie Keeton. A time of sharing memories and joyful stories will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. All are encouraged to contribute their own special "Stan Story". Stan will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
