Shirley Ann Miller, age 72 of Big Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was born February 25, 1945 in Brighton, MI the daughter of Melvon and Janet (McCall) Krueger. Shirley had made her home in the Big Rapids Area for over 30 years. She was a devout member of The Woods Free Methodist Church in Stanwood. Shirley is survived by her children, Sally (Hugh) Dean of Big Rapids, George F. Miller of West Branch, Jason Miller of White Lake, Peter Miller of Jackson; Several grandchildren including, Alicia (Nick) Blackmer of Greenville, Robert (Shannon) Dean of Brooklyn Park, MN, Milynda Miller of Swartz Creek, Brandon Miller of West Branch, Matthew Miller of West Branch; her cherished great-granddaughters, Avery and Brynn Blackmer; four sisters, Carol (Del) Davidson of Chase, Melanie (Stan) Malish of Grand Ledge, Johanna Krueger-Bowman of Grand Blanc, Valerie (Rudy) Munoz of San Diego, CA; many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Mike Krueger and two sisters Phyllis Allen and Vicki Kirshman. A memorial service for Shirley will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at The Woods Free Methodist Church in Stanwood. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services.
