Sherry Ann Arnson, 69, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Born on April 3, 1955, in Clare, Michigan, Sherry was the beloved daughter of Miles and Helen (Phelps) Henry. On October 18, 1996, Sherry married the love of her life, David Arnson. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Sherry attended Murphy Beauty School in Mt. Pleasant and pursued her passion for cosmetology, running her own salon in Stanwood and later from her home. Sherry had a zest for life and a wide array of interests. She loved playing cards, bingo, and canning, and she spent winters in Holiday, Florida, where she delighted in making new friends and participating in the "kitchen band." Gardening was her true passion, and her green thumb brought beauty to every corner she touched. She especially loved road trips, exploring new places, and visiting lighthouses. Above all, Sherry cherished time spent with her friends and family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, David Arnson; her children, Trina (Chris) Poulos, Mary (Dan) Lenon, and Wendy Bechaz; her stepdaughters, Melinda "Buffy" Arnson and Andrea (Neil) Routio; her grandchildren, Kaytie (Mike), Kristen (Bradley), Justen (Brooke), Kallie, Haylie (Trevor), Lindsey (Kyle), Tucker, Nautika (Jackson), Michael (Madison), Makenna, and Mati; and her great-grandchildren, Finn, Malva, Paisley, and Jett. She also leaves behind her siblings, Jim, David, Bruce, Gloria, Gayla, Denise, and Connie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, her grandchildren Alec and Alexys, and her sister Bonnie. A celebration in honor of Sherrys life will be held at a later date, as planned by her family.
