Sharon E. Obert, age 80, died peacefully at her home in Stanwood Thursday, September 30, 2021. She was born April 12, 1941 to Arthur and Elenora (Nason) Borstler in Big Rapids. Sharon was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake for her five children. She enjoyed bowling with friends and family and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Most of all, Sharon loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dewitt; children, Brian (Susan) Obert of Albion, Mary Obert of Lansing, Alan Obert, Dan (Marcia) Obert of Albion, Lester Obert of Baldwin; grandchildren, Rachel, Savannah, Jon (Morgan), Todd, Colt Obert; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, DeWayne, and David Obert. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Brenda Obert; and sister, Bonnie. A memorial luncheon will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Sharons name to the American Cancer Society.
