Sharon Joy Aldrich passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, to Dora and Evan Simpson. She was a steady presence in the lives of others, someone whose love and support could always be counted on. She will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, selfless heart, and unwavering kindness. A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, she found her greatest happiness in caring for her family and lending a helping hand to any person or animal in need. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time in nature, especially on her farm. She had an infectious laugh, a generosity that knew no bounds, and a quiet strength that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Sharon found beauty in the simple things in life. She loved sunflowers and honeybees, perhaps because they reflected the qualities she carried herself. Like the sunflower, she brought warmth, comfort, and light to those around her. And like the honeybee, she left the world a little sweeter because she was here.

Though Sharon was a woman of few words, her love spoke volumes. It was found in the quiet moments – in the way she listened without judgment, the safe place she created for those who needed somewhere to turn, and in every quiet sacrifice she made for the people she loved. Her love lives on through: her husband Kenneth Aldrich, her 4 children; Joseph (Alix) and Sara Harry, Katharina and Susanna (Bill) Lange; her grandson Xander, and her beloved dog, Bear.
