Sharlene L. Loll, 65, of Burt, MI passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Medilodge of Montrose MI. She was born December 4, 1946 in Big Rapids, MI the daughter of Charles "Jack" and Glenadine (Millett) Stockwell Sr. Shar married Melvin Loll on February 27, 1965 and the couple made their home in Burt, MI. For over 27 years Shar worked as a "Lunch Lady" at the Birch Run Public Schools, a job she greatly treasured. Shar was a very loving a caring wife and mother. She thoroughly enjoyed raising her children and absolutely adored her four granddaughters. Shar is survived by her husband, Mel Loll of Burt, MI; two daughters, Shannon (Dan) Steepe, of Marysville, OH and Linda (Darby) Christensen of Cumberland Furnace, TN.; four granddaughters, Danielle and Kendra Steepe of Marysville, OH and Alyssa and Jadeyn Christensen of Cumberland Furnace, TN.; three sisters, Karen (Lee) Eschenweck of Montrose, MI, Leanne (Bob) Bodbyl of Grand Rapids, MI and Deana (Roger) Miller of Cadillac MI; a brother Jack (Deb) Stockwell of Barryton, MI and several nieces and nephews. Shar was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Shar's son-in-law, the Reverend Daniel R. Steepe officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, November 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Chippewa Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Shar's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
