Scott Alan Waite age 50, of Howard City, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the AFC home in Howard City. He was born on February 18, 1960 in Big Rapids to Henry and Agnes (Yarrington) Waite. He enjoyed fellowshipping with Grace Community Church in Howard City and was a music, movie and sports enthusiast. Scott is survived by: his father Henry A. Waite of Sand Lake, sister Gayle (Kenneth) Funk of St. Johns and their family; Jason (Teena) and their daughter Marissa, Kenny, Tony and Jill (Rusty) and her children; Mathew, Jaramiah and Kyla, 3 brothers; Wayne Waite of Sand Lake, Michael (Marci) Waite of Rockford and their family; Audrey, Isaiah and Hailey, Henry Waite III of Jackson and his sons; Richard and Henry IV "Aaron" . He also leaves several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and his caregiver Patricia Stapp and members of the AFC home. Scott was preceded in death by his Grandparents and Mother Agnes Waite on March 8, 2004. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the First Baptist Church (200 S. Stewart) in Big Rapids with Pastor Bruce Peterson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to family can be left at or sent to Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home (13985 Northland Dr. Big Rapids, 49307) where arrangements were entrusted.
