Scott A. Langworthy, age 66 of Barryton, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Reed City on January 13, 1955, the son of Charles and Patricia (Jacobs) Langworthy. Scott married Bonnie Garchow on August 29, 1987 in Chippewa Lake and together they raised their son Charles in Barryton. Scott worked in the oil fields for 20 years. He later began his employment with Evart Products retiring in February 2021. Scott enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son, even though he couldnt out fish him.
He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his "princess" granddaughter Olivia, son Charles, and his wife Kylie who he treated like she was his own daughter. Scott will be missed by his wife of 34 years, Bonnie of Barryton; son, Charles (Kylie) of Evart and their daughter Olivia; mother, Patricia "Patsy" Jacobs of Hersey; five siblings, Denise of Evart, Dennis (Eloise) of Evart, Kim (Judy) of Hersey, Randy (Beth) of Hersey, and Rick (Karen) Of Big Rapids; brothers-in-law, Steve (Diane) Garchow of Rodney and Don Garchow of Barryton; 2 step-sisters, Karla (Barb McDonald) Page of TN, Debra (Scott) Roys of Evart; step-brother, Brent Adams of Sears and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles, infant brother Robert, and grandparents.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Scotts name to the family to help with medical expenses.
