Scott Thomas Huffmaster, age 63, of Big Rapids, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. Scott proudly served 5 years in the United States Army. He often told stories of his travels and skiing in the Alps. He dreamed of returning to Germany one day. Scott was also an avid Detroit sports fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time at "Miller Dale Nation" on the river, boating and enjoying bon fires with his closest friends. Scott is survived by his loving wife, Mary; step-children, Brandi (Pat) Brooks, Brook (Kevin) Miller, Justin (Sara) Yanke, Jason Yanke; nine grandchildren; and his loyal companion, Jax. He will be forever remembered by his step-mother, Kathleen Huffmaster; siblings, Lesa (Mark) Craig, Mark (Lori) Huffmaster, Melissa Bunch, Charles (Stephanie Duu) Malnar, Brett Huffmaster, Deborah (Jack) Ringewold; brother-in-law, Randy (Kim) Robbins; and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Thomas Huffmaster and Audrey Barbara Craig; brother, Christopher Malnar; and sister, Kim Robbins. A celebration of life luncheon will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Mecosta County Township Hall, 19729 11 Mile Rd., Big Rapids, MI 49307.
