IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott "Pops" Allen
Cain
May 24, 1960 – June 12, 2017
Scott Allen Cain Pops, age 57 of Cedar Springs, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Fortunately, after being saved two years ago, he was able to enter Heaven peacefully while surrounded by people who cherished him, showering him with love, and saying their see you laters. Scott was born May 24, 1960 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Though, maybe it seems he was taken too soon, he was here long enough to make an everlasting impact on anyone who knew him, and though hes no longer physically here his spirit, which is now pain free, is already stronger than ever. He overcame many lifelong obstacles and due to his strength he was able to enjoy the last years of his life giving us all his best. He was a man of many trades; If something was broken he could fix it, if something was trash he knew how to reuse it. He enjoyed the outdoors; deer hunting, fishing, and mushrooming. And though its hard to admit, he was better at all of it than any of us... and he knew that. His generosity was overwhelming and you knew anytime you said goodbye he was gonna sneakily slip you some cash, a thrift store find, a sucker, or something he knew you wanted in his never ending collection of treasures... whatever it was you knew you wouldnt be leaving empty handed. He loved his family and friends, and in a quiet way was the center of our strength. Everyone knew that on any given day they could show up and he would be there, no matter what. Scott will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but surely never forgotten. His spirit will be carried on through his wife and best friend of 30 years; Mary Cain, three children; Keith, Dustin, & Stacy, daughter in law; Staci, three grandchildren that called him Gampa Kyrie KyBug, Adelyn AddyCakes, & Lincoln Lincy, his mother; Carolyn Mazurkiewicz, four siblings; Carla Fabbro, Russ Cain, Mark Cain, & Zeda Fabbro, 13 nieces and nephews; Brad, Michael, Aleena, Caitlyn, Nikki, Ryan, Jason, Andrea, Mitchell, Zach, Austin, Colin, and Max, mother-in-law; Dorothy Richards, brother-in-laws; Jim and Lauri Richards, Dan and Amy Richards, & Dave Richards, as well as countless other family and friends whom he loved. Scott has joined his faithful companion; Smokey Dogg, father; James, brother; Kelly, and his Grandma Wiggers in Heaven, and were already positive theyre all smiling down on us together. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Resurrection Life Church in Big Rapids, where Scott, and his family & friends attended, with Pastor Ross officiating.
