Sandra K. (Hayes) Vincent, age 65 of Mecosta formerly of Holt, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born April 8, 1943 in Grand Rapids to William and Helen (Morrow) Hayes. Sandy was a 1961 graduate of Holt High School. She married Junior Moon and they lived in Mason where she was an avid bowler. Later they divorced and Sandy moved to Texas where she met and married Al Vincent. In 1994 they decided to make their home in Mecosta by Tubbs Lake where she has resided ever since. Sandy had a radiant personality and caring heart. She enjoyed playing bingo in Lake and the surrounding area, was an avid card player in Barryton and Nascar fan. Sandy was a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge. Sandy was preceded in death by her mother in 1968, father in 1996 and husband Al in 1999. She is survived by her loving brother William (Allison) Hayes of Lake, two nephews; William and Bradley, two nieces; Sandy and Amanda, several great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, her Aunt Nita, four step daughters; Irene Washington, Jackie Kuikstra, Juanita Wert, Linda Ertle and their families and many beloved friends. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Funeral services for Sandy will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery (4149 Willoughby Rd., Holt) at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial donations in Sandy's name may be given to the Mecosta Co. Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
