Sandra L. Perkins, age 65 of Morley, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at her home. She was born October 2, 1945 on her grandfather's farm near Evart, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Watson) Strecker. Sandra was a lifelong resident of Morley. She worked for Wolverine World Wide for over 20 years and later at Lear Corporation in Walker until her retirement in 2008. Sandra loved to garden, work in her yard and read. She will be forever missed by her family and friends, including her 3 children; Billy (Anna Benson) Eckert of Morley, Tim (Jodi) Eckert of Howard City, Tina (Bill) James of West Olive; 5 grandchildren, Logan and Lauren Eckert, John Eckert and Travis and Timothy Matzen; her parents, Mary and Arnold Hazelton of Greenville; a brother, Clarence (Pam) Strecker of Greenville; 3 sisters, Ann Louise Bow of Trufant, Madeline (Jerry) Troupe of Morley, Lynn (Butch Shane) Strecker of Rodney and many nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Strecker; sister, Lucille VanSyckle; brother, Richard Strecker; nephew, Larry Sherman and her beloved, Kenneth Lewis. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Reverend Philip Bongard officiating. Burial will be at St. Apollonia's Cemetery in Morley. The family will greet friends today (Thursday) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
