Ruth Ann Wells, went to her heavenly home peaceably, February 13, 2019 surrounded by her husband, her five children and granddaughter. She was born July 2, 1939 in Wyman, Michigan the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Pasch) Andres. Ruth Ann married Gary Wells on July 2, 1960 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids where she was a lifetime member. She attended Ferris State College and earned an associates degree. Ruth Ann was employed by MichCon Gas Company retiring after 23 years. Ruth Ann will be remembered for her devotion to her faith and her family. She is survived by husband, Gary Wells; five children, Cynthia (Dave) Piggott of Sparta, Marci (Rick) Poverud of Broken Arrow, OK, Kevin Wells of Big Rapids, Kim (Carolann) Wells of Big Rapids, Carla Estes of Broken Arrow, OK; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn (Joe) Battle of Paris; a brother, David (Annette) Andres of Traverse City; several nieces and nephews. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Tim Estes, two sisters, Roselyn Green and Betty Howard. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids with Father Michael Burt presiding. The family will greet friends on Sunday, February 17th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with a Rosary being prayed at 4:30 p.m. The family will also greet friends one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorial contributions in Ruth Anns name may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society in Big Rapids or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
