Ruth Rosella Vaught, age 83 of Barryton, MI, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Altercare of Big Rapids, MI. Ruth was born on September 3, 1924 in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of Isaac and Rosa (Barbre) Riley. She married James E. "Shorty" Vaught on August 17, 1941. They resided in Illinois for several years before moving to Michigan in 1960. Ruth is survived by; Two daughters; Mrs. Barbra (Jim) Waggoner of St. Francisville, IL Mrs. Mary "Sis" (Ed) Daugherty of Barryton, MI four granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Vaught was preceded in death by her husband in 1981, a baby son, Frankie James; two sisters, Mattie and Florella; four brothers; Ulla, Varney, Shelley Lavern "Ted" and Archie Riley. The family will greet friends on Friday (today) at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services, for family and friends, will be held in Carmi, Illinois at the Centerville Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 with Reverend Mike Buckman officiating.
