Ruby L. Rogers, age 91 of Barryton passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Grand Rapids. She was born June 22, 1918 to Jessie and Waymon (Morgan) Roberson. Ruby lived in Battle Creek before moving to Barryton in 1978. When she was able she was actively involved with the Barryton Seniors. Ruby was an avid reader and conversationalist. She loved to dance and made beautiful clothes when she was younger. Ruby's children will not soon forget her intelligence and how talented she was. Ruby is survived by twin daughters: Janice (Terrance) Emmons of Saranac, Jeanette (Joseph) Padronaggio of Parrish, Florida, step son; William J. Rogers Jr., six grandchildren: Todd, Robert, Gary, Will, Dean and Precia, five great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one sister; Adene Harris and many nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband; William J. Rogers Sr., brothers: J.T., Willard and Lambert Roberson, sister: Betty Gorsham and grandson Timothy Benjamin. The family will greet friends at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton on Sunday from 5PM - 8PM and on Monday from 2PM "" 4PM and 6PM "" 8PM. Interment will be at Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral Services for Ruby will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Ruby's name can be made to the Mecosta County Commission on Aging who were very helpful for the last few years.
