Ruby G. Menard, age 90 of Lake/Sherman City passed away at Margarets Meadows in Remus on Friday, November 25, 2016. She was born July 3, 1926 to Paul E. and Estelle (Taylor) Miller in Pontiac. She graduated from Pontiac High School and resided in the Pontiac area. Ruby met and married Leo Menard and they lived in the Waterford and Alpena area before moving to Sherman Township. She enjoyed socializing with the Busy Bees and took pride in her rock garden. Ruby is survived by many nephews and nieces and their families. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Estelle Van Woert and step mother Freda Wright; brothers, Norman and Duard Miller and three step-brothers Edward, Wilbur and Gerald Wright. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Daggett Funeral Home, Barryton, Michigan. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 on Tuesday, November 29th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Rubys name can be made to the Isabella County Commission on Aging.
