Rozena I. Merrihew, age 83 of South Boardman, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her home. She was born December 20, 1931 in Chippewa Twp., Isabella County, MI to J.C. and Loma (Thayer) Husted. Rozena married the late Roland E. Merrihew and they made their home in Weidman before moving to Trenton, and settled in South Boardman in 1987. Rozena is survived by her daughter, Kelli (Michael) Hall of South Boardman; one son, Michael (Melody) Merrihew of Westland; 4 grandchildren, Lori Vance, Mike Merrihew, Travis DeLong and Alicia Powers; 7 great-grandchildren, Holly, Rachel, Andy, Will, Zachary, Blaise and Briley; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Rozena was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, two sons, Rick and Dennis; her parents, J.C. and Loma; 8 siblings, Raymond Husted, Gladys Rousch, Violet Wright, Gerald Husted, Ron Husted, Donald Husted, Isabella Tupper and Erma Goodwill. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7th and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8th at the Daggett Funeral Home, in Barryton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the funeral home in Barryton. Interment will be at North Brinton Cemetery in Lake. Memorials in Rozena's name can be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
