Obituary

Rosemary Ann "Rosie" LeGrand age 88 of Mecosta died Friday, February 14, 2020 in Big Rapids. Rosie was born August 29, 1931 in Lansing, daughter of Walter and Emma Keast. Rosemary is a proud graduate of Saint Mary School in Lansing, Michigan. Rosemary worked as an accountant until the early 70s when she retired from the State of Michigan. Regardless of the time of year, she loved being at the cottage on Blue Lake. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Lee LeGrand; sister, Ann Keast; brothers, Dick and Bud; brothers-in-law, Roger Capen and Dan Reynolds as well as grandson Jonathan Weldon. She is survived by sisters, Geri Capen, Beth (Frank) Roznowski and Kathy Reynolds; sons, Ron Weldon of Tampa, Florida, Robert (Diane) Weldon and daughter Rae Ann (Rob) Esterhai, both of Lansing; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Matt) Kelly, Stewart Weldon, Josh Weldon, Danielle (Jeremy) Rittner, Lindsey (Kyle) Baker; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosie is also survived by her long-time partner Wayne Pike and his children and grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on March 27, 2020 at Saint Gerard Catholic Church in Lansing, Michigan. The family will greet friends at the church for one hour prior to Mass.
