Obituary

Rosalie L. Mead, 81 of Canadian Lakes, passed away at her home Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born in Birmingham, MI January 27, 1940, the daughter of Homer and Leda (Lintz) Wilson. Rosalie was a 1959 graduate of Flint High School. She married Robert Mead January 19, 1963 in Waterford. Together they raised their family in Pontiac and moved to Canadian Lakes after Robert retired. Rosalie loved bird crafts and animals. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Robert; sons, Andrew (Anne) Mead, Paul (Rebecca) Mead; daughter, Helena (Dan) Starick; brother Nathan (Joanne) Wilson; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clayton Wilson. Visitation will be held, following government guidelines, please social distance, wear a mask, and 25 people will be allowed in at a time, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus with visitation an hour prior. Father Tom Boufford officiating. Interment St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or St. Michael Elementary School. Arrangements and care entrusted to the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
