Ronald Lee Truesdell, age 73, of Chippewa Lake passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was born on June 16, 1945 to George and Vivian (Petersen) Truesdell in Greenville. Ron graduated from Greenville High School in 1964. Ron was proud to be a Navy veteran and was stationed on the U.S.S. Eugene Greene. He was honorably discharged in 1969. On August 22, 1970 he married Donna Lintemuth and they made their home at Chippewa Lake in the early 80s. Ron pursued a career as a boiler engineer at Ferris State University and retired in 2004. Ron enjoyed tinkering with wood working projects, loved to go fishing and was an avid U of M Football fan. Ronald is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Truesdell; one daughter, Shellie Hahn of Chippewa Lake; one son, Marcus (Sherry) Truesdell of Rodney; four grandchildren, Thomas Truesdell, Sara Truesdell, Hailey Hahn and Jason Truesdell; three brothers, Curt (Mary), Dave (Connie) and Mike Truesdell and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 and from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until the time of service on Saturday at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 with Pastor Ron Witbeck officiating. Interment will follow at Martiny Township Cemetery.
