Ronald H. Richards, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at home in Barryton. Ron was born on July 18, 1942 to Hershel and Jeanette (Dulz) Richards. He graduated in 1961 from Heartland High School. Ron retired in 2003 from Fords and resided the majority of his life in the Brighton and Pinkney area before moving to Barryton later that year.

Ron and Jewell loved the Barryton area and the property they lived on. He looked forward to spending time on his New Holland Tractor, watching wildlife and watching the grandkids play in the river. He liked Old Western movies and was a member of the NRA.

Ron is survived by his wife of 32 years Jewell; children, Sue (Doug) Hopkins of Cedar Springs, Mark McConnell of TX, Tammy (Terry) Russom of AR, Mike (Kitten) Wilhelmi of OK and Terry (Becky) Wilhelmi of Howell; siblings, Earl (Pat) Richards, Bertha (Tim) Wiles, Juanita Peterson and Joyce (Warren) Patten; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way; his treasured Aunt and Uncle, June and Barney; and numerous, nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly Brown.

A memorial service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Lighthouse Free Methodist Church with Pastor Darwin Mowat officiating. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or the Lighthouse FMC, where he attended church.
